What is a torque sensor?

Torque sensors, also known as torque sensors, torque sensors, torque sensors and torque meters, can be divided into two categories: dynamic and static. Among them, dynamic torque sensors can also be called torque sensors, torque speed sensors, non-contact torque sensors and rotating torque sensors.

Torque sensor is used to detect the perception of torsional moment on various rotating or non-rotating mechanical parts. The torque sensor converts the physical change of torque into an accurate electrical signal. The torque sensor can be used to manufacture viscometers and electric (pneumatic, hydraulic) torque wrenches. It has the advantages of high precision, fast frequency response, good reliability and long service life.

Working principle of torque sensor

Toothed disks are installed on both sides of the torsion shaft between the driving source and the load, and two corresponding magnetoelectric sensors are installed next to them. The structure of the magnetoelectric sensors is shown in the figure. The detecting element of the sensor consists of a permanent magnet, an induction coil and an iron core. The magnetic field lines generated by the permanent magnet are connected with the toothed disc. When the toothed disc rotates, the convex and concave teeth of the disc cause the change of the air gap of the magnetic circuit, so the magnetic flux also changes, and an alternating voltage is induced in the coil, the frequency of which is numerically equal to the product of the number of teeth on the disc and the number of revolutions.Torque sensor functionTorque sensor is a precise measuring instrument for measuring various torques, rotational speeds and mechanical power.

The torque sensor application range is very wide, mainly used for:

1.motor, engine, internal combustion engine and other rotating power equipment output torque and power detection;

2. Detection of torque and power of fan, water pump, gear box and torsion wrench;

3. Detection of torque and power in railway locomotives, automobiles, tractors, airplanes, ships and mining machinery;

4. It can be used to detect the torque and power in the sewage treatment system;

5.can be used for manufacturing viscometers;

6. It can be used in process industry and process industry;

7. It can be applied to laboratories, testing departments, production monitoring and quality control
