1. Choose fans with higher efficiency, smaller specifications of centrifugal fans, and larger adjustment range to meet the acceptable performance, efficiency, and quality requirements of the system.
2. The operating point of the fan should be selected near the high efficiency point of the fan to ensure stable operation and avoid the fan working in the surge zone.
To reduce noise and lower the speed of centrifugal fans, choose larger fans.
4. When selecting a large fan, it is often necessary to operate the fan in a low air volume area with a large pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, which can cause unstable operation and noise pulsation, resulting in high noise levels.
5. Choosing a fan that is too small can cause an increase in fan speed, resulting in higher air velocity and noise when leaving the blades.
6. The average wind speed at the fan outlet is usually between 10-15m/s, and should not exceed 17m/s as much as possible.
7. Centrifugal fan speed ≤ 450rpm, choose an 8-stage motor; 451~799rpm, Select a 6-level motor; 800~1500rpm, Select a 4th level motor; For speeds above 1500rpm, choose a two-stage motor.
The selection of centrifugal fans should not only be based on their size, because the motor plays an important role as a braking device in the fan.
