Precautions for installation of linear displacement sensor

12-10-2022

The function of linear displacement sensor is to convert linear mechanical displacement into electrical signal. To achieve this effect, the resistive slide is usually fixed at the fixed position of the sensor, and different resistance values are measured by the displacement of the slide on the slide. The sensor rail is connected to a steady DC voltage, which is proportional to the length of slide movement. Using the sensor as a voltage divider can minimize the requirement for the accuracy of the total resistance value of the slide rail, because the resistance value changes caused by temperature changes will not affect the measurement results.

The carbon film substrate, the core component of Jiangxi SOP linear displacement sensor, is developed based on the principle of potentiometer. After linear precision trimming, the linear distribution is uniform, with high precision and strong stability. In addition, the brush, another core component, is made of imported six element alloy, featuring strong stability and long service life (up to 50 million times).

Seven Precautions for Installation of Linear Displacement Sensor

1. The power supply voltage shall be stable

The industrial power supply requires ± 0.1% stability, such as the reference voltage of 10V, and ± 0.01V fluctuation is allowed, otherwise, the displayed trap fluctuation will be caused. If the displayed fluctuation amplitude at this time does not exceed the fluctuation amplitude of the fluctuating voltage, the electronic ruler of the displacement sensor is normal.

2. Prevent static interference

Electrostatic interference and FM interference easily make the digital display of the electronic ruler jump. The strong current line of the equipment shall be separated from the signal line of the electronic ruler. The electronic ruler shall use a forced grounding bracket, and the electronic ruler shell (which can measure the resistance between the end cover screws and the bracket, and shall be less than 1 Ω) shall be well grounded. The signal wire shall use a shielded wire, and the shielded wire shall be grounded at one end of the electrical box. In case of electrostatic interference, the voltage measurement of the multimeter is very normal, but it just shows the digital jump; The phenomenon is the same when the high-frequency device interferes. Verify whether it is electrostatic interference. Use one end of the power cord to short circuit the cover screw of the displacement sensor to a metal point on the machine. As long as the short circuit is made, the electrostatic interference will disappear immediately. However, it is difficult to eliminate high-frequency interference with the above methods. In addition, the manipulator and frequency converter often have high-frequency interference, which can be verified by stopping the manipulator and frequency converter economizer.

3. The three wires of the linear displacement sensor shall not be connected incorrectly

"1" and "3" lines are power lines, and "2" lines are output lines. Except that the power lines ("1" and "3" lines) can be exchanged, "2" lines can only be output lines. Once the above lines are wrongly connected, there will be large linear error, and it will be very difficult to control. The control accuracy is poor, and it is easy to display jitter. The sensor will be burned when it is powered on.

4. The power supply shall have sufficient capacity

If the power supply capacity is too small, the following situations are likely to occur: the mold closing movement will cause the display of the linear displacement sensor of the glue injection to jump, or the melt glue movement will cause the display of the mold closing electronic ruler to fluctuate. The drive power of special solenoid valve supplies power to the sensor, which is prone to appeal. In serious cases, the voltage range of the multimeter can be used to measure the voltage fluctuation. If static interference, high-frequency interference and poor neutrality can not be eliminated, it can also be detected whether the power of the power supply is too low.

5. Good installation alignment

The angle tolerance is ± 12 °, and the parallelism tolerance is ± 0.5mm. If the angle error and parallelism error are too large, the display will jump. In this case, the angle and parallelism must be adjusted.

6. Prevent short circuit

During the working process of the linear displacement sensor, it regularly displays data jumping or does not display data at a certain point. In this case, it is necessary to check whether the insulation of the connecting wire is damaged and the short circuit to ground caused by regular contact with the metal shell of the machine.

7. Avoid aging

For the sensor that has been used for a long time, the seal is aging, there may be many impurities and oil and water mixture, which affect the contact resistance of the brush and cause the display digit to jump, which can be considered as the early damage of the displacement sensor itself.
