The working principle of the rope displacement sensor

 

The role of the rope displacement sensor is to convert mechanical motion into electrical signals that can be measured, recorded or transmitted. draw wire sensors are made of stretchable stainless steel rope wrapped around a threaded hub. The hub is connected to a precision rotation sensor. Sensors can be incremental encoders, absolute (standalone) encoders, hybrid or conductive plastic rotary potentiometers, synchronizers or resolvers.

 

During operation, the rope displacement sensor is installed in a fixed position, and the rope is tied to the moving object. The linear motion of the pull cord is aligned with the motion axis of the moving object. The drawstring stretches and contracts as movement occurs. The internal spring keeps the tension of the strap constant. The threaded hub drives the precision rotation sensor to rotate, and outputs an electrical signal proportional to the distance of the pulling rope. Measuring the output signal can obtain the displacement, direction or velocity of the moving object.

Precautions for the use and installation of the draw wire sensor

 

1. According to the needs of the site and machine installation space facilities, use the 4 fixing screw holes at the bottom of the bracket to directly install or add protection or other mechanical purposes.

 

2. When installing the stainless steel cable, pay attention to the horizontal angle, that is, try to make the steel cable slide horizontally from the outlet to the moving parts mechanism during work, and keep the minimum angle (allowable deviation +/-30) to ensure the measurement accuracy and the service life of the steel wire rope.

 

3. The wire rope body is made of stainless steel with a fluorine layer. Please do not let it be cut, burned, hit by external force and other improper things: too much dust, debris or items that may damage the wire rope stored in the pulley or outlet will cause damage to the wire rope, resulting in unsatisfactory operation failure.

 

4. If it is not installed on the workbench or in front of the fixed seat, please do not pull out the wire rope with your hands or other products, and let it bounce back instantly. This can cause the cables to break and damage the body structure and personal safety.

 

5.
